It is with broken hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the untimely, peaceful passing of Sheldon Novack on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the age of 67. He was overcome by his courageous battle, surrounded by his entire loving family, with music in the background, and love and warmth in every corner of the room.
Devoted, beloved, and adored son of Irene and Irving Novack. Dear brother of the late Gary Novack, Z”L. Cherished grandson of the late Taibe and the late Berel Novack, and the late Bessie and the late Sydney Kravitz, Z”L. Loving father and father-in-law of Ganit and Phil Bernstein, Meagan and Alex Workman, Allie and Snir Seitelbach. Adored Zadie of Avery, Ellie, and Neeve Bernstein; Hazel, Levi, and Ruby Workman; Arie, Mia, and Ori Seitelbach.
Throughout this difficult time, Sheldon took comfort in the love and support surrounding him, always facing his illness with strength, courage, and his usual sense of humour.
Sheldon was part of a loving and devoted extended family and will be sadly missed by them all—Nira and Yair Altman; Mati and the late Asher Kolender, Z”L; Galy and Marvin Shapiro; Orly and Robert Gold; Mandi and Corey Robinson; Danielle and Dean Simon; Caryn and Matthew Altman and their families; his many nieces and nephews in Montreal and Toronto; as well as his many lifelong friends. Sheldon was loved by all who knew him.
Special thanks to Dr. Mihalcioiu and his team at the Cedars Cancer Centre, and to Dr. Ghoche and the entire incredible 3rd floor staff at Mount Sinai. A special heartfelt thank you to Dr. Maayan and Dr. Ashley for always being there.
